This last Sunday night on March 6th, 2011 around 7pm our little (but not so little) Molly unexpectenly passed away. Her cause of death is unknown. Josh and I had been out of town with my work trip since last wednesday and Molly was very well taken care of by family while we were gone. We arrived home around 5:30pm to our Molly who was excited to see us! You could tell she missed us and was happy we were home. Around 6:30pm Molly was in the backyard running around playing with Paige and Landen and Josh. Then they came in and we were just hanging out in our living room and Molly layed down next to the couch like she always does when she's been running and wants to rest, so all seemed normal. A few minutes later I went to get something out of my suitcase that was next to Molly and instantly noticed something was wrong. Her eyes were open and her mouth was droopy and she wasn't breathing. Josh instantly jumped up and we tried to do something, but Molly was already gone. It's been extremely hard on Josh and I losing our first family pet, she was a special part of our family. It was unexpected, but the thing that has helped me the most is I know she spent her last hr happy and with her family! And with how quickly she went I don't believe she suffered at all. Our biggest thought is it's possible that after a relaxing weekend the excitement she had of us getting home was to much and she possibly had a heart attack. Though we'll never know for sure. But if she had to go I'm just happy that I know she was happy and with her family. Josh and I always teased how we have a love/hate relationship with Molly, but the love sure out weighed the hate. Molly did many things that bugged and annoyed the heck out of me, but that was just the normal things that come along with owning a dog. She was a great dog and really great towards Paige and Landen. Paige and Molly had a special bond and Landen was really starting to notice and play with Molly more. Molly is going to be greatly missed! For anyone who has lost a pet they know what it's like. You don't realize how much they really are a part of your family. These last few days the house hasn't felt or been the same. We're slowly adjusting to our new "normal", the hardest part is when we come home from work, we don't have this 45pounder bulldozing us over to say "welcome home!". But even though it's been tough I know were going to be ok and I want everyone to know were doing well. But I wanted to make this post specially dedicated to Molly in our happy memories with her for the short time she was with us so that we can look back and enjoy our happy moments with her and even some of the moments she made me crazy! Cause that was our Molly! Love you Bully!
Here's some pictures more for our benefit to see a timeline of Molly's life. Here we had just boughten you in Feb 2009 and had to show you off to Grandma and Grandpa Tanner.
Here's Paige holding you for the first time. Paige was about a year and a half old.
You didn't stay that small for long!
You were the cutest little puppy. Only the size of a new born baby. You weighed a little over 8lbs.
The first night you were very shy and quiet and liked to sleep alot!
You and Paige were instant buds!
Your cousin Mylo was excited to have a new play mate. But I think you annoyed and bugged him from day 1 haha!
but you were still pals!
This was one of paige's and your favorite things to do!
A weekend at Uncle Mikes and Aunt Tracis
They were also good babysitters!
You liked to be where ever Paige was.
First time Paige raided your dog dish! You didn't mind, you helped her!
Anytime we were playing with something you wanted to play with it too!
Looking sweet and innocent!
Your were growing bigger and bigger by the day!
Your favorite place! The dog park!!
Look at the happy, slobber infected face! Adorable!
45lbs of heaven cuddling on daddies lap!
BFF'S
The pic above and the pic below crack me up everytime! Your facial expressions are priceless!
Paige loved to hang out in your bed! You didn't mind, you loved the company!
Paige giving you loves! Adorable!
Paige was one of your favorite play mates. And anytime we were playing with her or Landen later on, you were always there ready to play also!!
Paige and her friend Kaylee giving you a walk in the house! Notice the jean diaper, I hated that thing! You were on your dog period and I'll say that was one thing I didn't care for, but that could have easily been fixed we just hadn't got you spayed yet.
We had to buy you the tough, high durable, more expensive dogs toys, because everything else you tore up in seconds. These would actually last.....longer. But one thing I have to give you props for, you didn't chew up a lot of things. Only one of daddies shoes, but that was a one time thing. And you liked to bite at paige's forewheeler, which I hated. But you were very good not to chew anything else!
A cows hoof! One of your favorites! You got one for the first time for Easter!
When Landen was born you couldn't have been a better dog. You were curious and would sniff his feet, but you never bothered him. I could have him on the ground and not worry to much if you were gonna do something to him.
He became one of your friends quickly as well!
You LOVED anytime we would get in the car and go somewhere. Getting in the car was extremely exciting for you. In this pic you even got to have the front seat and I was kicked in the back with the kids! But you loved it and it wasn't bad for me either!
Your very first and unfortunely only experiece to the lake! You were so fat there was no way you were gonna swim. If dad wasn't there you probably would have drowned, but you didn't care you still loved the water anyway, even though this pic looks like your scared half to death haha!
You and the kiddos near christmas time. You and Paige have grown a lot since the day we first got you!
