August 27, 2011 - Paige's 4th Birthday - Tinkerbell and Pirates

Paige's 4th Birthday. Theme was Tinkerbell and Pirates! This had to be one of the funnest birthday parties I had done for her so far. I went into the birthday planning thinking I'm going to do something simple this year, but instead it ended up being the opposite effect. It wasn't hard to do just time consuming, but it was worth it and I had a lot of fun.

Paige : The Birthday Girl

The oh so fun Decorations! At the top I purchased that banner online that went across our whole wall. Paige thought it was so cool. We had a Fairie table where the girls were going to decorate and make there own fairy wings. (purchased at Michaels). We had a Pirates table where the boys decorated skulls and had Pirate outfits to wear (purchased at Michaels and partyland). We had a game to play called Pin the Star on the Wand. I just bought the posterboard and hand drew on the wand. We had cupcakes to decorate. And last but not least of course we had to have a Pinata.

Here's our Pirates!! Decorating skulls and enjoying snacks and there costumes. ARRR!!!

Our Beautiful Fairies in there wings!!

Group Photos! I think the kids LOVED dressing up!

Playing Pin the Star on the wand!! The kids did a great job!

Decorating cupcakes and eating them! My favorite part! :)

Opening Presents!

Pinata!!! And after the pinata we watched the Tinkerbell movie and ate our snacks while we waited for the parents to show up and pic up the kiddos!

Landen was also dressed up for the occation, but he actually napped during the whole thing!! So we got a pic afterwards!! Happy 4th Birthday Paige!

Here's Paige after the party showing off some of her new clothes and toys!

August 2011 - Paige 1st Day Preschool

Paige's first day of school. She went to Little Dudes Ranch Preschool with Melissa Larson. She was SO excited for her first day of school and couldn't wait!!

Here she is back from her first day of Preschool. She made her nametag around her neck with fruit loops. She was so happy when she got home and could only talk about how much she loved school.

Landen loved her fruitloop necklace. Good thing they were kind enought to share.

Landen first major owie on his forehead. He was playing outside and fell and gave himself a pretty good goose egg.

August 2011 - Grandpa Gene Visits

Josh's dad doesn't live close by, which makes it hard to visit and see eachother, but in August 2011 he came to St. George to visit and see his kids and grand kids. Paige enjoyed his stories.

For some fun we took him to the lake,

except he didn't have any swim trunks and the kids wanted him to come out and play in the water.

But that didn't stop Grandpa from spending time with his grandkids. So he went out and played in the water anyway! Above those two tiny specs in the water are Grandpa Gene and Paige and Below is them close up.

Sorry I'm not no beach babe haha.

Chillin on the beach with Landen and Kaylie Nordstrom. Her parents came too.

Paige warmin up with Grandpa. It was windy that day!

Both kids hanging out with Grandpa Gene.

Josh and his cousin Matt Nordstrom.

August 2011 - Camping - Duck Creek

Now we had the right equipment to go camping. Here were at Duck Creek enjoying our new tent, that is HUGE and gives us plenty of room and this was the first trip for our new pathfinder, along with our new trailor and fourwheelers that we just got the month or so previous. That's right Josh bought the toys first and then the stuff we can haul it with. :)

I think the kids enjoyed all the space the tent had to offer. I sure know I did.

And the best part about camping....for the kids....playing in the dirt!

But the most favorite part has to be the hot chocolate!

And the company is also a plus. The Nordstroms (josh's cousin) went with us!

First time making Peach Cobbler, it was delicious!!

The men cook and I get stuck doing the dishes!

The kids really loved the trailor and fourwheelers!

If you haven't been there, Duck Creek is a great camping area. But bundle up cause the nights are super chilly, even in the middle of summer!

July 2011 - Josh's Birthday

For Josh's 29th birthday there was no question on how he wanted to celebrate it. We had just gotten the fourwheelers so Josh and I went to Sandhollow Lake and camped and fourwheeled. We had a really great time other then is was SO HOT!! and sleeping on sand is like sleeping on rocks when your air matress has a hole in it.
The lake was a perfect place to cool off.
Our middle names in the sand! Aren't we romantic :)

Happy 29th Birthday Daddy
